Cross-legged sitting, hip joint pain

How long should I avoid sitting cross-legged after femur fracture? I had broken proximal femur 6-7 months back, underwent ORIF, plates and screws are still in place. The fractured is healed completely and I can walk freely now w/o any problem. But sitting cross-legged is something that causes pain in hip joint. Kindly advise.

as fracture was outside the hip joint so ideally you should not have problem sitting cross legged.  still if u r not able to do it , repeat xray of hip joint with femur in ap n lateral  view. secondly this could be because of posttraumatic stiffness following fractre. which will require physiotherapy.
