Adequate protection to the patients and doctors are a must. A thorough and proper history cannot be taken lightly. Meticulously handling the job with a thorough awareness of dental diseases and protocols is a must. If you still need a training in dentistry you may join a short course in clinical management programs offered by several schools.

For examination only there r almost no chances of cross infection as if u r limited to use only pmt. For restoration n prosthesis , yes chances depending on the history u taken for hepatitis n confirmed. My suggestion is whatever is the procedure, use gloves n sterilization.
