Hi, my mother is tested negative for covid but persistent with fever and sp O2 level is somewhat 90-94 but then comes back to 96 already under medication as prescribed by the doctor so what should be done now.
Yours mother tested by which test antigen or rtpcr, oximeter should read after 1 -2 minute after applying in index or middle finger, it will be correct reading. If spo2 come below 94% it needs urgent action. You can go for blood test -cbc ese, pct , d dimer, ldh, serum ferritin level, hrct chest. to confirm the diagnosis.

The medicines prescribed should be continued and sp02 levels should be measured in every 2 hours , please take the final reading in the pulse oximeter after 30-40 seconds only .
If the sp02 falls below 94 then admission in the covid dedicated hospital is recommended. For fever tab dolo can be given .
