Coughing persisting for Long time

I am 33 years old ..I have ashtma.. everyday I take maxiflo 250.. I caught fever on 6th of february along with cough..I was given cepodem 200 ...laveta m and ..mcberry cough syrup...by a doctor...even after taking those medicines my cough persisted ..Dn I checked up with a chest specialist....I was given alaspan am..and levolin rotacaps..taking those medicines my cough persisted ..it became worse..I checked up with another chest physician today...he prescribed cepodem xp 325..nebulizetion with budecort  for 3 days for 2 times and duolin for 3 to 5 days for times  3times..mucinac...ascoril cough syrup...and predmet 16 for 2 times for 7days...my question is should I take predmet 16  for 7 days ? On such a high dose ...As it is  a strong steroid..does this medicine have any serious side effects? Pls suggest what should I do ..

quite a haphazard treatment history you have..won't recommend steroid straightaway as it's effect will be temporary only..a better combination of nebs meds is advisable for you
