Hi Sir I was suffering from cough and fever, doctor has prescribed me Augmentin 650 and Bro-zedx, fever is okay,but still cough is still present, when I spit cough, there is some blood content comes every time with cough,is it because of throat infection or symptoms of Tuberculosis.

If it is only for less than a week it is most likely to be a regular respiratory tract infection and not tuberculosis. If it was tuberculosis if symptoms will be of a longer duration and will not respond to Augmentin.

Cough is usually the first symptom to appear and the last symptom to go. Blood in sputum could be either due to upper respiratory tract infection or due to forceful coughing. TB is accompanied by excessive weight loss. U can get a sputum examination done to confirm
