I got a corn in the center of my foot removed surgically 2 months back. The doctor left the wound open with dressing and now, the skin has almost covered the deep wound now but it appears a little raised and hard at the wound site with slightly red tip. Is this normal recovery?

Welcome and Good Evening Your concern is 1. Corn removed surgically 2 months ago from center of foot. 2. Doctor left the wound opened with dressing. 3. Skin almost covered the Deep Wound  but now it appears a little RAISED, HARD at the WOUND SITE with slightly RED TIP. 4.  Is this normal recovery In such surgery wound healings are by secondary intention that means in four stages 1. Stage of haemostasis 2. Stage of Inflammation 3. Stage of proliferation & 4. Stage of remodeling . All this takes 6-12 weeks
