If the conception is not occurred, and one took the pill within 72 hours of intercourse, what are the side effects of it? While having sex, the condom slipped off. And am not sure, whether the sperm gone inside or not. For safer side, I gave her a pill.

If an emergency contraceptive pill has been taken within 72 hours of sex the chances of conception are almost nil. Sometimes, emergency contraception can change the length of your monthly menstrual cycle, making your next period come as much as a week earlier or a week later than usual. Some women also find that the hormones in the pills can cause unexpected bleeding, but this is not a common or serious side effect.
Next Steps
Consult a good female sexologist to mutually decide about a planned contraception method to avoid unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.
