Constipation In toddler.

Child is 17 months old. He is suffering from constipation and does not do potty for around a week. After giving duphalac he passes stool that too very hard and with blood. Please help me with the best treatment. Ps- He is a patient of pulmonary Atresia with VSD and has his surgery in the next month.
