Constipation is very common in pregnancy, especially in the second trimester, and it does NOT cause miscarriage or harm your baby.
Straining while passing stools also does not affect the pregnancy.
To get relief, please follow these tips:
✔️ Drink plenty of water – at least 2–3 liters per day
✔️ Eat more fibre – fruits ( apple, banana), vegetables, whole grains
✔️ Take warm water in the morning
✔️ Walk daily for 20–30 minutes
If you still feel very constipated, you can safely take:
– Syrup Lactulose 15–20 ml at night
or
– Isabgol husk 1 spoon with warm water
These are safe in pregnancy.
If you have severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or bleeding, please report immediately, otherwise no need to worry.
Take care and feel free to message if you need anything more.
