Constant Coughing
I experienced constant coughing for a while and a doctor suggested that I might have either sarcodosis or TB. I had a CT and the hiler lymph nodes were enlarged. I also had an MT test and the patch was 20mm. TB Gold test was also positive. The value for a Serum ACE test done was 37 microliters (ref. range - 12-68 microliters) and ESR was also increased. I experience dry cough and fever. Even after all these tests, a doctor that I went to see still says that I have sarcodosis and has given me ATT and steroids. What is the problem according to your experience?

Needs a detailed examination and also bronchoscopy and biopsy to rule out tb and sarcoidosis. Consult a pulmonologist for the same. no point in giving both tb treatment and steroids together.

Wonderful presentation... but probability of tv is higher..
Treating this with att and steroids is like using a warmer and a blanket in a room while sleeping and you don't know what is really protecting you from cold..
But probably I would agree with your doctor's decision to treat both when in doubt especially in cases of lymph node tb
