Dr Hetalkumar has already outlined the management for quick resolution of conjunctivitis. But when it comes to using eyedrops containing steroids like gatilox dm and ocupol D eye ointment, I think it's better if you consult and Ophthalmologist who can prescribe these drugs to you and also explain how to use them.
These drugs help symptoms to disappear fast, but cannot be stopped immediately. They have to be tapered, otherwise the symptoms reappear in a more severe manner once you stop the drops.
Also they have the side effect of increasing eye pressure, so this has to be monitored while you are using these drops.
