Concerned w history of "Colonized MRSA"

About 10 years ago I was diagnosed with colonized MRSA. I would periodically get "bites" which if improperly cared for would develop into abscess. I had to wash with "hibiclens" daily and keep any potential "sores" covered. These sores were identified by a "bite" that was very itchy. Now, 10 years later, I haven't had a "bite" in probably 8 years. Should I still be concerned about this? Did my "colonised MRSA" go away or is it just dormant? Should my wife and I be concerned about it?
