Concerned about coldsores!

I get cold sores periodically, and usually am great about not exposing others to them. With that said, my husband and I engaged in oral sex last night, and today I have one coming in. Is there a chance that I could have transmitted it to him, even though I didn't have any symptoms at the time? Will taking antiviral medicine help prevent him from having any sores develop?

The herpes simplex virus is a contagious virus that can be passed from person to person through direct contact. It is possible that he's acquired the strain and it's possible he could get an outbreak. With the antiviral we can control the outbreak and steps should be taken to avoid contact with other people during the outbreak so that it doesn't spread. I would advise you to visit a skin & VD specialist so that it can be controlled properly
Next Steps
Follow the steps as advised
Health Tips
If condition persists or worsens visit the ER at the earliest
