My kid who is 2.4 years currently is adviced to take blood test and urine test due to repeated fever. Blood report shows high c reactive protein - 23 After which urine report says presence of citrobacter koseri. Doctor advised to go for urine culture again for the confirmation of citrobacter koseri. Is it dangerous? How exactly would be treatment for this ? What must be the source of this bacteria as we live in a place where construction happens

The symptoms and signs decide the seriousness not the report. This is not a common organism in urine infection. It may be a skin contaminant if the symptoms don't match the report. Collecting urine correctly is difficult for kids. Clean the private with soap properly before collection. Follow other instructions properly. If possible, visit a hospital for collection. No need to worry. Treatment is with antibiotics
