Doctor has prescribed me 1/2 of ciplar la 20 for anxiety disorder. But ciplar la 20 presently not available but I got ciplar 10. My question is 1/2 of ciplar la 20 and ciplar 10 both are same??

Hello, Ciplar LA is long acting and can be taken once a day only as against ciplar which has to be taken twice a day. The medicine is same the duration of action is different.

Hi, Ciplar LA tablet is long acting preparation and drug releasing time is over many hours. ciplar LA preparation and pharmacokinetics (tablet soluablity drug release) and is different from plain ciplar tablet. Half of ciplar LA 20mg is not exactly equals to ciplar 10mg plain tablet.  Dosage may be needs to be adjusted when converting from long acting preparation to plain preparation according to the clinical needs.
