1.It's used as Vata hara and pain subsides In joints etc. There are different types of joint pain, few increases with intake of greasy food, increases with application of oil, few the other way round. Depending on what problem is diagnosed you can take. Don't take just because all are taking.
2. Oil pulling is told to be done everyday In Ayurveda. Again there are problems of different types of skin disease, nature of skin the oil differs and oil pulling may not be compatible to few people. Anyone can do it. Oil is depending on person to person generally coconut oil is a good option.
