My 6 years old son is suffering from acute cough and cold for the last 3-4 months. He also snores while sleeping. He was prescribed antibiotics along with anti allergic medicines, expectorant as well as sometimes steroids also but problem reappears. Doctor are saying that he is suffering from thick post nasal drip and also have hyperactive adenoid and allergic rhinitis. Please suggest what course of action to be taken to get rid of the situation.

His symptoms are suggestive of allergic airway disorder with significantly enlarged adenoids. He may need to be on long term steroid nasal sprays. If symptoms does not subside then adenoid surgery may also be necessary
