My mother having lymphoma has taken the first chemotheraphy on last Thursday and today after doing blood test her heamoglobin is 7. Previously it was 9 before chemo. Please tell me the reason of blood drop. Need experts opinion. Mom is admitted in hospital and doctors giving her blood.
Low Haemoglobin in lymphoma has many cause including disease involvement in Marrow, chemotherapy and others. Blood transfusion is standard for correction of low haemoglobin.
