Can chemosis in an eye, be a symptom of hyperopia?
I had two instances (within five months interval) of chemosis (swelling of white part of eye like a gel formation and reddish with pain). It resolved on its own.
And I have a prescription for hyperopia +2.5. But I am not using glasses continously.
Is that what causing the swelling?
Chemosis does not occur due to hypermetropia, it may be due to allergic conditions, consult some local Opthalmologist when it reoccurs for proper advice but it is not due to hypermetropia.

It may be a manifestation of some allergy
If it occurs repeatedly then maybe some systemic etiology has to be ruled out
