CHD and artery stenosis

My son is only 6 years old, and diagnosed having a CHD and artery stenosis, the doctor required a balloon surgery, it is safe to have a surgery in his age? and how much the surgery is?

Congenital heart disease is a big spectrum of disease, The prognosis and cost of treatment it depends on which valve it is involved .please share the detail of the echo so that v can answer u well. And balloon is safe procedure but every cardiac procedure has its own risk and it depends on the skills of the performing doctor. If someone has advised u treatment, i think u should go for it. And 6 year is a big child for a pediatric cardiologist. V are trained to operate upon a one day old child. Ans technical expertise is required for premature babies. So your child is quiet grown up

ALL CHD needs treatment, balloon dilatation is commonly done for stenotic artery and valves. What for Dr. Is doing depends, cost also vary but CHD need to treated on time
