Cervical polyp During pregnancy

Hi , I'm 31 year old female, having a pregnancy of 12 weeks. From 8 weeks I started having spotting and excessive white discharge. When doctors have examined they have found the Cervical polyp near the internal OS with the size 15mm* 11mm. At 10 weeks I can see the polyp popping out of vagina whenever I go to the washroom or give some pressure. At 12 weeks I can feel the polyp is popping out a bit extra when compared to 10 weeks. Now the Doctor is suggesting to remove the polyp as it is popping out and will create issues in the future pregnancy As suggested by the doctor, can I remove the polyp during pregnancy and is it necessary to remove in my situation? Note:I had my NT Scan and everything looks good

Surgeries are safer to be done in the second trimester.Since the Polyp is symptomatic and causing problems it's better to get it removed.
