My grandfather who is 85 years old is on ventilator in ICU. Local doc is saying he has a stroke in right temporal lobe along with cerebral tuberculomas , lung infection and urinary tract infection. His left side of body has got completely paralysed. What should we do now as he's in coma and doc is saying he'll stay for 5-6 months in coma. What are the chances of his recovery and will he ever be okay again?

He has multiple issues now. Need details regarding the current treatment to comment on the prognosis. since he is on ventilator and has already multiple infections , the foremost thing is for him to come out of the ventillator. The improvement in weakness is somthing that you need worry on later. if possible if u can send the mri images and reports along with the treatment currently on, will be able to give u a better picture.
