Cellulitis in lower limb
I was diagnosed with Cellulitis in the left lower limb12 days ago and was unable to even keep my foot down due to pain. I was given Augmentin 625 three times daily for 10 days and twice a day after that. Fever stopped 2 days after taking the antibiotic and I could see the redness and the swelling has come down. Doctor says, cellulitis is healed. But till today, 12 days after starting on antibiotics, the pain is still unbearable when I try to put my foot down. Is this normal or does this mean the infection has not come down? How long would it take for the pain to subside?
