Cataract in right eye

After consultation with doctors, they advised to get the operation done soon. However, they told to go for Phaco type operation. I want know why doctors don't advise for SICS, despite it being a cheaper process. Are there any added advantages or disadvantages?

I am a great advocate of SICS and perform it routinely for a majority of my patients . I charge the same for SICS and phaco as I am charging for my skill not the machine! Maskatieyeclinic Opposite Charni road station east, Mumbai

If cost is the consideration then you can opt sics.a nicely done sics gives quite satisfactory results. However Chaco is definitely better.

Hello Phaco is better as small incision is required which has following advantages A. Less astigmatism so less power of glasses after surgery B.  Early recovery C. No redness, pain etc
