Can we use Molnupiravir ?
Doctor suggested Molnupiravir for my father for 5 days..he is having fever ranging from 99-101, mild cold and cough..he is 56..no other major helath issu3s. .he started having fever 2 days ago and got tested positive..not sure if Molnupiravir can be used or not since ICMR is not supporting it..
Molnupiravir good drug for COVID 19 mild to moderate disease ,dose 800mg bd per oral for 5days ..intiated within 5days onset of symptoms
...main indication of this is above 65years with comorbid conditions and unvaccinated individuals....c/i in young age people especially less 18years and pregnant women....if this drug used in married couple use contraception for 3months in men,5-6days for women after last dose of molnupiravir......come to question it can be useful above 50years....use it as per your physician advice
