Can uti symptoms linger after antibiotics

About 3 weeks ago, I was administered antibiotics for my UTI. However, till date I am experiencing a pelvic pain and slight irritation and pin while urination. This has led me wonder if my UTI has been properly treated or not. Is this normal? Does anyone have an idea if UTI symptoms can linger after antibiotics?

hi..UTI is usually resolved with iv antibiotics but there are chances for the UTI to reoccur if ur body was resistant to the antibiotic that was given . - u can meet the physcian and get ur urine routine & culture and sensitivity checked so as to find out if u still have the infection and if so the right antibiotics can be administered - keep urself well hydrated -drink at least 3 litres of water and another 1 litre of juices ,tendercoconut water, buttermilk -have cranberry juice at least 2 times a day -Avoid using public toilets and if u do make sure the seat is cleaned properly (u can even use a sanitiser spray) - an ultrasound may also be recommended to know the level at which the infection has occurred and treatment can be done accordingly
