Can secondary syphilis cause earache?

Treated for secondary syphilis 4 months ago. I have ear ache and tinnitus. Ear is clean and audometry is normal. Doctors have ruled out Otosyphilis. Any ideas what this could be? I am being treated for neuropathic pain.
