I am 39 year old lady. I have been noticing that my nails are going brittle day by day. I am eating a lot of salad also to get my nails better. I have showed it to my beautician she says it can be due to vitamin deficiency. Does vitamins deficieny be responsible for nail brittleness?

Nail brittleness is caused by fungal infection or Iron deficiency never by vitamin deficiency- not that I know of or usual.

Would advise you to get you hb and vit b 12 and consult a dermatologist for the further course of action. Also make sure u are well hyfdrated and a watch on the products that u use on your hands
