Can hiv be treansmitted through eye drop
If a drop of an hiv positive blood person who have been on arvs for 6 months goes into the eye of someone can it cause infection?
blood drop on intact sclera(white part of eye) or cornia very unlikely to cause infection .unless u hv red eye,ulcer on eyes..which permit contamination. Mere washing with fresh water is enough. Again regular ART treatment must hv decrease viral load frm patient's blood so be assured.
