Buzzing in the Left Ear

Saturday evening I was in a Cab with the window open on my left side. After the sleepover in the night, from Sunday morning I am unable to hear anything from my Left ear. A continuous buzzing sound is there. Please do let me know what is this thing and is it serious. I do use headphones, but on that day I didn't use them at all. And there is no gradual reduction in hearing. It happened suddenly and till now it is there no pain in the ear at all, just the buzzing noise
