I have a bump on the mons pubis, sometimes it swells up and starts paining (mostly during my periods) and other times it doesn't hurt,it's just there, like some small ball under the skin. I can feel it when I touch. It has been 6 months now, I have tried hot compression (as suggested by a gynecologist), it helped reducing the swelling but it just doesn't go.
