Bruise and wounds

My son is 6 years old. While playing he fell down and got cut on her head. The wound is big but the doctor staples the wound using surgical stapler. Is it safe? He told nowadays everybody using surgical staplers. Is it good? Is the skin will get properly heal? Is it leav scar on head?

Dear patient Surgical staplers are safe to use Staplers are used to close surgical incisions and wounds In fact , staplers have advantage over sutures ,quick placement and fewer infections (lower tissue reaction seen) Sutures and staplers leave a scar , depending upon how approximate the skin folds were held together..(only subcutical sutures have better cosmetic results)

apply any ointment containing silicon gel and vit c (eg  opexa gel ,hexilak ultra gel ) after consultation with your attending surgeon
