Breathless but normal dlco

Hi i  have Sarcoidosis stable since years. Normal dlco and pft and echo is normal. Still i feel breathless sometimes. Can breathlesness be there despite of normal pft and dlco.?

You may have stage 1 sarcoidosis if dlco and pft are in normal parameters, but now if u r having breathlessness could be a flare up or rare circumstances could be involving the heart. Kindly get a HRCT chest done to see involvement along with ECG and 2D ECHO

its unlikely that your pft will be totally normal..there are restrictive changes in sarcoidosis that stays for long period..it can be managed easily depending on the progression of your disease..connect here with all your ct reports, pft and xrays

If pft is normal, so much breathlessness will not happen. Pl consult pulmonologist for further evaluation and treatment.
