Piles are commonly seen either during pregnancy or after delivery.your gyno will guide you for same.taking lactulose to treat piles will not do any harm to your child. Mother's milk as such is very rich in lactose sugar.the baby is able to digest a part of it and usually there are no problems. It is important on your part to decrease your otherwise sugar consumption of lactulose in advised in amounts beyond 30 ml per day to you. Then the newborn child usually passes loose stools but if they become too runny or too watery then you might take other products to relieve your pile problem.
Next Steps
if you are on lactulose and the child then passes unacceptably more loose motions then shift to a sugar free laxative( stool softener) .
Health Tips
sugar free softners are sodium picosulphate and polyethylene glycol also works well. meanwhile take sitz bath that should help.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Forst of all, you need to get your piles checked out. Kindly consult a general surgeon in person for further evaluation and management.  He will help you further. Lactulose will help your constipation but not the bleeding piles. Also, it doesn't affect feeding. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
