I'm suffering from breast pain my mammography report says that A microcalcific focus seen in right axillary tail region. Both breast birads 0 what does it's mean
Birads 0 means - definite reporting not possible with images. Needs further images or views. Since a micro calcification/s is/are seen, maybe the radiologist would like to take further images and then confirm if any problem is there.
If it was confirmed to be no finding, BIRADS would have been mentioned as 1. And if any finding was there and that could be definitely mentioned as benign, then it would be 2.
3 onwards is suspicious.
Presently this micro calcification needs further evaluation
Next Steps
Report to the scan centre to do further scan/ views
