Breast feeding and got my periods

Hello Doctor, I'm saranya n I'm 26 yrs old and given birth to baby boy in the month of February, I feed my baby fulltime and I have got my periods yesterday. Is this normal? Ppl say fulltime feeding mothers won't have periods for 6month. Is true can you brief me on this. Please Thank you.
