Brain hemorrhage due to thinking age 70
There is a 4.4x3.4cm acute intraparenchymal hematoma centered in the left basal ganglia with dissection of blood into the bilateral lateral,third and fourth ventricles. Mild surrounding vasogenic edema is seen.
There is middle shift of up to 0.5cm to the right.
No hydrocephalus or enforcement of the basal cisterns is noted. No acute infarction seen
Intra cranial bleeds are a common occurrence in old age. It seems from the description that the patient has right sided weakness/ paralysis. Is the patient hypertensive? Is he on blood thinners?

I hope that the patient is under care of a Neurophysician. If not, please follow with one in your vicinity.
Health Tips
Such patients are prone for rebleeds and need long term follow up with a Neurophysician. If the rebleeding is very large, and is making patient comatose threatening life then the Neurosurgeon is called for decompressive surgery of the brain.
