I was punched by mistake at the marked location,I am feeling a little pain while swallowing .no trouble in speaking or breathing Can it cause any permanent damage?can it damage my thyroid gland?

Not likely at all.. Just take some local hot fomentation. In case of pain persisting, take paracetamol as per need
