Blood clot under finger nail
Accidentally I got hit with a iron hammer on my thumb finger yesterday.
Finger swelled and became purple blue both the sides, blood clotted on the nail.
It was a severe pain but after keeping ice pack multiple times pain is little less.
But feeling little numbness and it pains when I bend or move my finger.
Please guide do I need to get the blood drained by a doctor or it will heal by it's own.

Need to Be patience , the blood need not to be drained.
As nail grows it comes up nup n when u cut nail slowly it will be out.
Locally apply ice pack.
Use
Tab zerodol sp three times a day after food for 3 to 5 days so no infection n pain swelling relived.

Your symptoms suggest a subungual hematoma (blood clot under the nail) due to trauma. If the swelling is large, purple, and painful with numbness or limited movement, it's best to get it checked.
If blood is trapped under the nail, sometimes a small nail puncture is done to drain it, which relieves pressure and prevents nail loss.
Since pain and numbness persist, I recommend you visit a doctor or ortho to rule out a fracture and drain the clot if needed.

You likely have a subungual hematoma (blood under the nail) from the hammer injury.
Since there's swelling, purple discoloration on both sides, pain, and numbness, it's best to see a doctor. They may drain the blood and do an X-ray to rule out a fracture. Minor cases heal on their own, but yours sounds moderate to severe.
