I am having a terrible sore throat with white pus points in the tonsils and it's been 3 days I have been gargling with betadine The phlegm has been dirty yellow to yellow and to clear today but I saw a blood clot attached here for the first time Is it something to be worried about?

If there are pus points it’s Acute follicular Tonsillitis for which you have to take a course of antibiotics for 7 days along with Analgesics like Tab Dolo 650mg twice a day and Tab PAN 40mg once a day in empty stomach for 7 days. Gargle with Dispirin gargles (1tab of Dispirin In 1/2 glass of warm water) to get relief from pain.

Have a good diet. Do not stop eating. Drink plenty of fluids- water/ soup/ fresh juices.
