Bleeding during intercourse

Hello , yesterday while having intercourse I started bleeding just within 5 mins of having intercourse and there was a lot of blood , as my periods are due in 5 days I thought that was maybe period but that bleeding stopped within an hour. I'm in so much pain , please tell me is this anything to be concerned about or my partner hurt me while having intercourse or should I consult doctor for this unexpected bleeding.
