Hii everyone I want to ask that my grand mother recovered from covid 19 and as people are saying that Black fungus can only affect that person whom recovered from covid 19 is there is any risk for her does she can also affect from Black fungus is there is any precaution which can be helpful for her

Yes definitely black fungus risk is greater for her but depends on whether bp, pulse sugar of the patient normal or not. She used steroid or not. How much time she is hospitalised, and also privious history of any disease.

Risk factor for black fungus is diabetes or any other immunocompromised state, prolonged steroid therapy. NOTE: It is very rare infection

Risk factor are uncontrolled diabetic ,immunocompromised, prolonged use of high dose steroids. These people are at very high risk to get infected.
