there is no precautions u can take. the chances of anamolies is 1 in 200. once she is pregnant there are tests available which let us know about anamolies in earlier stage. but there is no reason why u should be apprehensive. when u r in love age doesn't matter. try to be positive. let her conceive first. things can be sorted out

If you are concerned about conception and normality of the baby please consult your gynaecologist who can do some basic tests and guide you in the right direction. As the lady's age increases beyond 35 years some extra tests are required when she is pregnant. Your gynaecologist will explain these better in person. best wishes
