4 week three day baby with belly button discharge Umbilical cord came off in the first week. Have noticed this slight white lining with belly button discharge at the belly button area.

It might be umbilical granuloma / if we examine can come to diagnosis / if it's granuloma can apply Salt crystal (Sodium chloride) over it 2 times daily for 3 to 5 days  ... Salt will help in reducing the granuloma by hygroscopic action
