Bedtime sugar is lesser than fasting

2020-06-24 15:13:26
Age: 30, Wt: 97kg, Ht: 168 cm. I eat early dinner around 6.30 PM, sleep around 11 pm. My sugar before bed comes around 105. I measure sugar in morning at 8.30 AM and then my fasting sugar comes 115 which is even higher than bedtime sugar despite not eating/drinking anything. I have been practicing high fibre low carb and low calorie diet to assist weight loss. Why is bedtime sugar lower than fasting?

Blood sugar levels varies as per the food intaken.Food is instantly converted to sugar as soon as intaken .if med for diabetes is not taken prior to food intake the blood sugar level is naturally on the higher level that is metabolism of sugar is hamperedby non reactive insulin of the body ,so have to take  medicines as anti diabetic to normalize the blood sugar levels.

Hi, As you have mentioned that you used to have your dinner at 6:30 p.m. and as you haven't mentioned that you eat anything in between so your nxt meal supposed to be breakfast and the gap is more than 12 hours. In this condition specially in the morning body wants to supply its fuel by providing free sugar .
