I developed some redness around the opening of penis during the first week of July. I am an uncircumcised male with only one sexual partner. Initially, I ignored it but after a week I visited a Urologist who diagnosed it as Balanoposthitis and suggested to apply TBact and Candid B. I applied it for a month, the pain associated with redness was gone but redness was still there which caused inflammation as well. After a month of applying these ointments I visited the urologist who recommended doing Urine culture, semen culture and Urine routine. All the results were fine. He suggested to apply T Bact mixed with Candid (no Candid B this time) and prescribed some antibiotics (Doxy). It has been almost 10 days since then but there is absolutely no relief. I wonder if the urologist had been able to correctly diagnose the problem. Is Balanoposthitis curable? If yes, how much time would it take to get cured? Shall I abstain from any kind of sexual activity till this gets better? Frustrated I m
