Balance issue while walking

2023-05-19 05:32:56
Due to the weak left leg, my mother, who is 68 years old, occasionally has trouble maintaining her balance when walking. She also has trouble walking unaided on uneven surfaces, ascending/descending stairs, etc. A longer stroll is also not possible. visited a neurologist and had MRIs of my brain and cervical spine done; both results were normal. Additionally, various blood and sugar tests were performed. The results showed elevated FBS and ppbs, and a neurologist hypothesised that might be peripheral neuropathy, caused by diabetes. As a result, diabetic medications such as gemer 1 and sitared mxr 500 were begun, as well as medications for peripheral neuropathy such as gabapin 100 and vitamin B and Eetc. Will this balance problem be cured by these medications, or will physiotherapy also be required? If manual therapy, such as strengthening, balance, and gait training, is required, is it also necessary to use electrotherapy such as tens ift etc.? calcium and vitamin d levels are normal
