Autoimmune hypothyroidism
I am suffering from a disease which is called autoimmune hypothyroidism and it was diagnosed by my endocrinologist 9 yrs ago.since that time i am getting the thyroxine sadium tablets (25mcg).but always i am curious about my condition and need know what will happen by getting this drug further and is this a curable state??just curious!!
Auto immune thyroid disease basically means our own immune system is damaging thyroid gland because of some internal immune abnormalities. Usually this condition is permanent and you need to take these medications all your life. You need to get thyroid function tests repeatedly to adjust the dosage. Usually these medications are safe and won't cause any problems
