Arm pain when he lift up

My father 25 days before got fell from bike not too major accident every thing is ok but his left arm after few day getting pain when he lift up his left arm only while their is no pain which riding bike ,moving  arm but only pain in lifting up and putting down arm .their is no swelling seen .so please suggest me appropriate medication for this .
