Hi Sir...Am facing viral infection (may be dengue...Reports are not came yet) I have few platelets and very low white blood cells...I want to ask you sir that I was on Mirtazapine 15mg from a month (antidepressant ) It makes sleepy but last night I fainted....Is this drug decrease platelets and WBC ? Should i need to stop this drug ? I also fearing of withdrawal too much..... And in one day I lost 1 gram blood...lost 50,000 cells more....plz tel...thankew

Hi,  Mirtazapine can rarely cause reduction in wbc,.. But your current problem is most probably due to viral fever and not Mirtazapine... Kindly consult general physician
